About Rural Health Watch

Name:
Paul Mara Secretary RDANSW

We all know the health system is under stress. Health and medical workforce is a major issue. Doctors and nurses are stretched along with budgets and patients may not be getting the care that they require and should expect. A number of hospitals are struggling to maintain services.

On the other hand we often don't hear about the good things that are happening in your practice, community, hospital or Area Health Service. Rural Health Watch is a new initiative of the Rural Doctors Association of New South Wales.

This is a moderated site designed to capture your thoughts and ideas on what is happening locally in your health system and how we can improve it. We want to collate and publish both bad news stories and good news stories and aim to follow up on them all. It is open to RDANSW members, nurses, allied health professionals, administrators and members of the public.

Please note that RDANSW reserves the right to publish only what it considers appropriate and that all posts must include contact details.

To make a post simply click on the rural health details link above and enter the details requested.
